When We Are Closed

If you ring the surgery when we are closed and you have a medical condition that cannot wait until we are next open you will be given the number to the NHS 111 service. The NHS111 Service provides medical assistance by offering telephone advice from trained staffs. They will direct you to the most appropriate service that you medical needs require. If the situation is more urgent or life threatening then ring the emergency services.

Alternatively you can also contact the Wigan GP Alliance that run the GP extended hours service on 01942 482848 and ask to be seen in one of our hubs.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
