Patient Feedback

28th January 2016:

"I am writing this on behalf of my family. My father was recently unwell following a collapse at home. He was admitted to hospital and discharged into our care. Unfortunately he began to decline in his health again although this happened gradually over a few days. My father did not want to return to hospital at this time. Intra Health were fantastic in the support that they provided. We were able to access GP support both on the phone and through home visits. My father also received care via the hospital at home service, enabling blood tests to be taken and reported on within a short time period. All members of the team went out of their way to help us. We would particularly like to thank the practice manager, and the front line reception staff. We received a professional level of service in an extremely sensitive manner. The staff supported not only my father but the family as a whole. Unfortunately my father did require further hospital admission however he is on the mend and will hopefully be home soon. My father moved to this practice a while ago now. He has said on many occassions that he feels extremely comfortable there and that the staff all provide excellent care. I feel this is important when considering mens health. It is well documented that males do not always report illness or visit their GP for health checks. My father would have no hesitation in going to Intra Health for his care needs. We would highly recommend Intra Health, Tyldesley practice (also Atherton). For us, we have the reassurance that my father`s health is important to them and that they care very much."

" I rang Intra Health this morning .... I just wanted to thank the very professional and caring manner in which the call was handled. I was feeling rather ill when I rang and those brief moments when someone helped me and organised the appointment were very much appreciated. I even felt better after talking to her. Please pass on my thanks and good wishes. .. PS In the past when I lived in Leeds I was a volunteer with the Samaritans. The work is extremely demanding but the training they offer their volunteers is excellent. There is great satisfaction from doing the work. I instinctively know, based on a lot of experience, that the person who answered that call this morning would be welcomed by the Samaritans. You could help a lot of people, please think about it. I wish you well in everything you do"
